You can cut your risk of catching the flu.(Life-Today)

Between 5 percent and 20 percent of the U.S. population will come down with the flu in an average year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. More than 200,000 people will be hospitalized and about 36,000 will die.

One of the best precautions against the virus is an annual flu shot. Flu season can begin as early as October and last until May. October and November are the best time to get a flu shot.
