MARTIN Bennett has hailed the first ever fixture between theBristol & District and Bristol & North Somerset Leagues a roaringsuccess.
In a low scoring match, the Bristol & North Somerset were bowledout for 100 with Atul of Claverham on 38 not out.
In reply, the B&D side scraped home with two wickets to spare,Almondsbury's Phil Mortimore (23no) hit the winning runs and wassupported by Failand & Portbury's John Bachelor (23).
Rupert Stanning, of Stoke Bishop, claimed 5-36 with blisteringbowling to keep B&NS in the match.
